Richard Petty: STP Man

Holding the record for most wins in NASCAR history, Richard Petty was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame on May 23, 2010.

Talk about an amazing ride.

Richard Petty reflects on the contract he signed with STP in ’72 and says, “The $250,000 gave us a squirt over everybody else, so we could have better equipment.” Jim Hunter, longtime NASCAR executive, remarks, “In my opinion, it was the gold standard of NASCAR sponsorships.”
