A system that consists of the fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel pump, fuel filter and fuel injectors or carburetor. This system allows for gasoline storage in the vehicle, filters out particles, delivers gasoline to the intake air system, and mixes the air and gasoline, in the correct ratio, so that it can be efficiently burned in the engine.
Electrically operated valves that inject a fine spray of fuel, in the proper amount, into the engine’s intake port. The amount of fuel sprayed into the engine varies according to the engine temperature, speed, and load, and is controlled by the vehicle’s onboard computer.
It’s the place in the engine between the cylinder head and the top of the piston where the fuel/air mixture is compressed by the piston and ignited by the spark plug.
STP fuel additive products are individually labelled for dose and treatment intervals. This information can be found on the back labels of the bottle.
Motor oils are carefully formulated lubricants that perform many important functions, including cooling engine parts, keeping them clean, and protecting them against rust, corrosion, and wear. One of the most important functions of oil is providing lubrication by forming a cushion between moving parts to help them slide more easily. This reduces metal-to-metal contact and friction — a major contributor to heat, wear, and premature aging of engine parts. STP® Oil Treatment fights this metal-to-metal friction by providing a thicker cushion of oil between moving engine parts, thus helping to protect against engine wear.
Sludge is a thick, sticky residue that can form inside your engine through a combination of combustion by-products (oil oxidation residue, carbon and water). Water condenses as a result of a hot engine cooling down. The oil mixes with the resulting water and forms a thick sludge that sticks to the engine parts. Frequent cold starts and short trips contribute to this condition by not allowing the engine oil to heat up enough to vaporize and remove the water. Sludge is detrimental in that it can clog key oil passages such as oil drain-back holes and, in some cases, block the oil pickup screen in the oil pan, causing engine oil starvation (i.e., not enough oil). STP Oil Additive products contain detergents, which can help suspend sludge in the motor oil and prevent it from accumulating inside your engine.
STP® Oil Treatment products can be added at any time and are best added at every oil change. They should, however, only be used once per oil change.
Deposits start to form after a vehicle has done as little as 1000 miles so we would recommend STP Petrol Injector Cleaner is used every 3000 miles.
Deposits start to form after a vehicle has done as little as 1000 miles so we would recommend STP Diesel Injector Cleaner is used every 3000 miles.
We recommend you try STP Petrol Injector Cleaner before visiting a mechanic. If STP Petrol Injector Cleaner is used every 3000 miles it will help to keep your injectors clean.
We recommend you try STP Diesel Injector Cleaner before visiting a mechanic. If STP Diesel Injector Cleaner is used every 3000 miles it will help to keep your injectors clean.
STP Power Booster is easy to use; simply add to your fuel tank every time you fill up your petrol.
STP Petrol Treatment is designed to help keep engines clean by preventing rapid build-up to harmful dirt, gum and deposits in the fuel system.
STP Diesel Treatment is designed to help keep engines clean by preventing rapid build-up to harmful dirt, gum and deposits in the fuel system. STP Diesel Treatment also has the added benefit of stopping exhaust smoke.
