Darrell "Bubba" Wallace, Jr., Driver, #43 STP Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
A graduate of NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity program, Darrell “Bubba” Wallace became the first African-American in 50 years to win in one of NASCAR’s top three national touring series.
Now firmly established as one of NASCAR’s top young drivers with six series wins, Bubba reached the top of the sport when he made the announcement that he’d be competing full time in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series in 2018, with Richard Petty Motorsports, being the first African-American to do so since 1971.
Bubba once again raised the bar in 2018, when he became the highest finishing African-American driver at the world renowned Daytona 500, when he took the checkered flag in the 2nd position.
The 2020 season will mark Bubba’s third full NASCAR Cup Series season in the famed No. 43 car.
